Admission and Examination
Person having keen interest in Holistic Medicine may get himself admitted to our Council to pursue study in various holistic medical / paramedical courses or to continue research works in this field. Online form is available for the students abroad.
Distant learning Procedure
Besides conducting the regular courses in holistic medicine the council has its unique distant learning Procedure.
For distant learner
First fill up the on line form mentioning your desired course/s and the related details. Send the admission form to the Council's office through E-mail address (amcc@vsnl.net) or Fax (0091 33 2542 4072) with the requisite fees in favour of ' Alternative medical Council Calcutta'
After admission the council will provide the study materials on the Prescribed Courses. Within the scheduled time on line examination will be held. You can get your result through internet in due time.
After successful completion of the Prescribed Courses Practitioner's Certificate and other supporting documents empowering you to practice smooth strictly on that field of Holistic Medicine will be Provided to you by the Council.

INSTRUCTION FOR ADMISSION
(Rules & regulation for the students)

  1. Application should be addressed to the principal under registered by post or personally with testimonials.

  2. Candidate coming from Institution or college either affiliated to the council or any authentic college or institute of alternative system of medicines will be admitted to the course or the similar course of the college or institute affiliated to the council from which he /she comes.

  3. Any disputed case shall be settled at Barest.

  4. All fees for the session other than the tuition and examination fees must be paid at the time of admission.

  5. No refund of sums paid of the college and no cancellation of admission will be considered, if application is made after the expiry of admission.

  6. Any type of fees other than caution money, once paid will not be refunded or adjusted, the caution money should be refunded only at the termination of course in this college after deducting the incidental charges.

  7. The principal will be sole admitted authority and his decision will be final in the matter of selection for admission. Selection amongst the candidates will be by oral or written test on payment of fees to be notified by the principal, the admission of any candidate may be refused if requisite particulars are found to be unsatisfactory.

  8. All grievances or complaints and communication regarding the Institutions should be sent to the principal or to the secretary of the college as an appeal to put to the president of the managing committee.

  9. Students shall have to make good the damage or loss of the college library without delay otherwise they would be fined in addition to it without delay or other disciplinary action may be taken against them.

  10. Punishments shall consist of extra duty fine and suspension of leaves scholarship, free studentship and promotion etc and lastly expulsion from the college for the remainder period of the session by a written order.

  11. Students will have to clear all the fees and arear dues to college, they must return their books issued by library at least one week before the annual or the test examination, otherwise they will not be allowed to appear in the examination.

  12. The institution authority has right to accept or refuse the admission of any candidate.

  13. The use of uniform to the students is must during the class hours.

  14. There is a charitable treatment centre at the college campus.

  15. The students of college must take part in Games & Sports annually.

  16. Political activities are strictly prohibited within the college campus.

  17. The students have to abide by the rules & regulations of the college.

  18. Punishment will be awarded by the principal of the college as per the nature of offence.

  19. The student has to pay tuition fees within 10th day of every month. Defaulters will be charged with fine.

  20. Fee once paid under no circumstances it will be refunded.

  21. Practical charge will be given extra to get practical facility.

  22. Test examination of all classes is compulsory and the examination will be held before two months of commencement of any final examination.

  23. The principal will be sole admitting authority.


CURRICULUM AND SYLLABUS

The curriculum and syllabus for the examinations of the above mentioned courses shall be as given in the rules of the council which shall be subject to such modification as may be made from time to time by the faculty established by the council.

INSTRUCTION FOR EXAMINATIONS

  1. The question papers for examinations of all subjects shall be in English and answer scripts will be written either in English or mother language.

  2. Each question paper of theory and practical examinations of a subject will be regarded as one subject.

  3. Examination will be held annually at the end of the session.

  4. As qualifying marks, student must obtain 40% marks. The standard for passing in the aggregate shall be 40% of total marks of the above mentioned courses.

  5. The duration of each examination theory, oral and practical etc shall be of three hours.

  6. The supplementary examination will be held after two months from the date of the publication of results of annual examination.

  7. The candidate who will appear at the annual examination will be eligible for appearing the supplementary examination may be admitted in the next higher class. He/she shall however, has to pass supplementary examination before appearing at the final examination.

  8. If any student desire to review of any of his answer book, he may apply to the secretary of the faculty through the principal of the college paying of Rs. 50/- per book, requesting him for review of his/her answer book.

  9. Any addition & alteration may be done by the authority time to time.

  10. The candidates securing 50% marks will be placed in second division. Candidates securing 60% marks will be placed in first division. Candidates securing 75% marks will be declared to have passed with star. Candidates securing 80% marks will be declared to have passed with letter marks. Candidates securing 85% marks will be awarded silver medal and candidates securing 90% marks will be awarded gold medal.

(FOR CORRESPONDENCE COURSE)

  1. The Examination of correspondence course will be started from January, April, July and October of every year.

  2. Candidate should fill up the prescribed final examination form before one month of the examination.

  3. The council shall conduct the final examination at the residential address of the candidate. The Council shall provide student registration no, admit card, attendance sheets, answer sheets, question papers etc and sent back the duly completed answer scripts to the Council within the prescribed time otherwise his examination will be treated as cancelled.

  4. Study-materials on all the prescribed subjects shall be sent by the council through post.

  5. Recommended books as mentioned in the prospectus should be followed.

(For Private Candidate)

  1. The council conducts the private examinations under affiliated colleges at various centres in the months of January, April, July and October of every year in all courses on the basis of requisite academic qualification and at least 5 years experience in the particular alternative medical line.

  2. The private candidates may apply for admission in any time of the year.

  3. The candidate will duly fill up the examination form before 45 days of the final examinations.

  4. Syllabus for the respective courses of examinations will be supplied by the council to the candidates.

  5. Recommended books as mentioned in the prospectus should be followed.

  6. The council shall provide student registration no., admit card, attendance sheets, answer sheets and question papers etc and the duly completed answer-script should be produced at the examination centre.


RIGHTS OF PRACTITIONER

  1. The practitioner who shall be enrolled in the register of the council shall be entitled to practice as a qualified physician without any restriction and shall be entitled to certify the sickness of the patient (as per rule 12 (a) of the council).

  2. Persons qualified or hose having more than five years of experience in any branch of alternative system of medicines will be registered by the council.

  3. The registered practitioner is declared as a qualified doctor to practice on any branch of alternative medicine as provided by the rules and regulations of the council
