Direct Examination
|
Private Diploma, Degree and post graduate
degree certificates are also awarded on the basis of experience through
direct examination for which a candidate must have a minimum of three
years experience in the specific discipline in which he or she seeks a
diploma, degree or post-graduate degree and must possess the minimum
academic qualification required for admission to the relevent course.
Formalities can be carried out through correspondence.

Short term certificate
courses
|
Short term certificate courses are held
regularly in the various disciplines of alternative medicines in addition
to orientation courses and workshops in the different complementary'
medical therapies, traditional medicine and holistic healing in general.

Special courses
|
Special courses are arranged on request, which
are designed to meet the specific needs and requirements of the students.
The university also has a number of students from overseas for whom
special arrangements are made. Duration of these courses are fixed
according to the convenience of the students and range from three days to
six months or more depending on the student's requirements.

Practical /Clinical
Training
|
A general course of on the practical and
clinical aspects of the medical profession is conducted by the university
for ten days every month and is strongly recommended for all students
& novice practitioners of any system of medicine. The course consists
of techniques and procedures of clinical examination of a patient such as
physical examination through signs, symptoms and various tests. The use of
a stethoscope, sphygnometer (blood pressure instrument), thermometers, hot
and cold bags, examination by instrument of the ear, nose, throat, tongue,
rectum, eyes, heart, lungs etc. is also taught as are laboratory
investigation techniques for examining blood urine, stool, sputum, semen
etc. X-Ray findings, E.C.G. & B.B.G. ultrasonography, first aid,
bandaging, artificial respiration, cardiac resuscitation and neurological
& reflex tests.

Health AwarenessProgrammes
|
|
Programs of three to five days’ duration on
the importance of health and the ways and means of ensuring and
maintaining one's health conducted by leading health care professionals
are held on a regular basis.
